Natural grain, warm tones, premium weight. Best suited to living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms where you want the blind to feel like furniture.

Not recommended for bathrooms or kitchens, wood warps in humidity.

Fauxwood

Looks like wood, handles moisture. Our most popular venetian finish. Goes anywhere including kitchens and bathrooms without warping, splitting or discolouring.

Lighter than real wood, which means it's easier to operate on larger windows.

Aluminium

Slim, lightweight, modern. The most practical option for bathrooms, offices and rental properties. Huge colour range including metallics. Easy to wipe clean.

How Venetian Blinds Give You More Control

Most blinds give you two options. Open or closed. Venetians give you everything in between. Tilt the slats up to bounce light off the ceiling and brighten the room. Tilt them down to redirect glare away from a screen. Close them flat for full privacy at night. No other blind type offers this level of control.

Perfect Fit

Clips into uPVC frames with no drilling. Perfect fit blinds move with the window, essential for tilt-and-turn, French doors and conservatory panels.

Decorative Tapes

Fabric tapes replace the standard ladder strings that hold the slats. They soften the look and add a design detail particularly effective on real wood venetians in living rooms and bedrooms.

Available in a wide range of colours.

Motorisation

Battery-powered, no wiring needed. Control by remote, app or voice. Useful for large windows where a heavy venetian blind would be awkward to raise manually, or for high windows you can't easily reach.

Venetian blinds traditionally have lift cords and tilt wands. All our venetians are fitted with cord safety devices as standard cords are tensioned or cleated out of reach.

For families with young children, cordless or motorised operation eliminates cords entirely.

Common Questions About Venetian Blinds

Answers to common questions about our made-to-measure venetian blinds.

Real wood has the warmest, most natural look but warps in humid rooms best for living rooms and bedrooms. Fauxwood looks similar but handles moisture, so it works anywhere.

Aluminium is the lightest, slimmest option best for bathrooms, offices and modern interiors. We'll bring all three to your home visit.

25mm slats give a slim, modern profile and suit smaller windows. 50mm slats make more of a statement, suit larger windows, and are easier to clean.

Dust settles on the slats. That's the trade-off for having adjustable light control. Aluminium and fauxwood wipe clean with a damp cloth. Real wood should be dusted dry to avoid moisture damage. A regular wipe every couple of weeks keeps them looking sharp.

They help. Closed slats create a barrier that reduces heat loss through the glass. Real wood and fauxwood perform better than aluminium for insulation. But if thermal performance is your main concern, cellular blinds are specifically designed for it and will outperform any venetian.
