Perfect for Wide Windows, Doors & Open-Plan Spaces

Panel blinds are designed for wider spaces where traditional blinds don’t work as well, making them a strong choice for large openings and modern interiors.

Patio & Bi-Fold Doors

Panels slide to one or both sides for full door access. Unlike vertical blinds, there are no individual louvres to tangle or blow in the wind. A cleaner, quieter option for doors you use every day.

Wide Openings

For windows over 2 metres, standard roller blinds can sag or look stretched. Panel blinds cover wide spans cleanly, each panel sits flat and slides independently. The visual effect is more like a feature wall than a window covering.

Open-Plan Living

Panel blinds on a ceiling-mounted track can divide open-plan spaces without a permanent wall. Useful for separating a home office from a living area, or screening a dining space. Slide them aside when you want the room open again.

How It Works

How Panel Blinds Work

Panel blinds use wide fabric panels that slide smoothly along a track, giving you flexible control over light, privacy and access.

Smooth sliding panels

Panels glide across a discreet track and stack neatly to one side when open.

Flexible light and privacy

Position the panels anywhere across the window or door to control light and privacy.

Designed for wide spaces

Ideal for large windows and doors where traditional blinds can feel busy or cluttered.

A modern alternative to vertical blinds

No louvres or slats each panel is a single, flat piece of fabric. This means no twisting, no tangling, and easier cleaning than vertical blinds.

Design & Style

Make Panel Blinds a Feature in Your Room

Panel blinds are one of the few blind types where mixing fabrics actually works. Alternate between a sheer and an opaque panel for layered light control. Use a bold print on the centre panels with plain fabric either side. Or keep it uniform for a clean, minimal finish.

We'll bring samples and help you plan the combination.

Customisation

Options & Upgrades

Panel blinds can be tailored to your space with flexible track configurations, fabric choices and optional upgrades.

Track Configuration

Left stack, right stack, or split opening from the centre. The track configuration depends on your door handle position and how you use the space. We'll recommend the right setup when we measure.

Fabric Choices

Light-filtering for living spaces, blackout for bedrooms, sheer for a softer look.

Plain, textured and patterned all available. Mix across panels or keep it uniform.

Motorisation

Battery-powered motor slides the panels by remote, app or voice. No wiring. Particularly useful for very wide openings where manually sliding multiple panels gets tedious.
Not sure which options are right? We’ll bring samples and talk you through everything at your home.

Safety

Child Safety as Standard

Panel blinds are one of the safest blind types we fit. There are no chains, no cords,
and no hanging loops. Panels are hand-operated or wand-operated on a track. For motorised panels, there's nothing to touch at all. If you have young children, panel blinds are a strong choice on safety alone.

Customer Questions

Common Questions About Panel Blinds

Answers to common questions about our made-to-measure panel blinds.

Vertical blinds use narrow louvres that rotate and can tangle, rattle in a draught, and look dated. Panel blinds use wide, flat fabric panels that slide on a track, cleaner, quieter, and more contemporary. Panel blinds cost more, but for a living room or a visible patio door, the difference in finish is significant.

It depends on the width of the opening and the panel width you choose. A standard patio door might use 4–5 panels. A wide bi-fold run could use 6–8. We'll measure and recommend the right number during the home visit.

Yes. Mount the track on the ceiling instead of above a window and the panels work as a sliding partition. Useful for open-plan spaces where you want the option to screen off an area without a permanent wall.

Not usually. On a standard single window, the panels stack too bulky when open. Roller or Day & Night blinds are a better fit for standard windows. Panel blinds work best on openings over 1.5 metres wide.
